Easters 2007 (www.easters2007.com) is going to be a brilliant time. Here's some idea of what we've got in store:

Three days of debating
Four big social functions
Biggest UQ contingent ever
300 people from across Australia and beyond

Easters is the 4 day long Australian Debating Championships held this year in Sydney over the Easter long weekend (Thursday 5th April-Monday 9th April). While it is the Australian championships, there is a novice rule that means that each team can only have at most 1 experienced person in it. So don't worry if haven't debated much before - the emphasis at Easters is on learning and improving.

But hurry! We need to know if you want to come by next Tuesday, the 20th of March!

Schedule

Thurs 5th April Arrive in Sydney, head to accommodation
Night - Barbecue then Pub Golf

Friday 6th April - Debates 1, 2 and 3 at Sydney University
Night - Circus Party at Manning Bar

Saturday 7th April - Debates 4, 5 and 6 at Sydney University
Night - Championship Dinner (Formal)

Sunday 8th April - Octo, Quarter, Semi and Grand Finals
Night - Final Night Party

Monday 9th April - Tournament ends. You're free to head home, or head to Coogee Beach for an Easters wind-down.

Getting there
· You will need to be in Sydney some time on the 5th - preferably in the afternoon as there is a social function that evening
· For those planning on flying down book soon! Qantas flights are now around $300 return and Virgin is around $260 and they're only going to get more expensive
· There are still plans of a road trip happening. Anyone who would like to car pool, please contact me and I will try to co-ordinate this
